Wheel Loader Buying Guide For Export Buyers

A wheel loader — also called a pay loader, front end loader or shovel loader — is the highest-utilisation machine on most job sites, quarries, grain yards and ports. We build the full 0.8 t to 8 t range in Shandong and also supply certified used units, so buyers in the Middle East, Africa, South America and Europe can match the machine to the material rather than to whatever a dealer happens to hold in stock. Bucket capacity, breakout force, tyre choice and lift height matter far more than horsepower alone, and the wrong pairing is what makes a cheap loader expensive to run.

How to size a wheel loader

Size classTypical applicationConfiguration notes
0.8 – 1.5 tFarms, greenhouses, small yards, narrow lanesRated bucket 0.4 – 0.8 m³, fits inside a 20 ft container
2 – 3 tGrain handling, livestock feed, landscaping, small construction1.0 – 1.7 m³ bucket, the best-selling export size
3 – 5 tGeneral construction, sand and gravel, block plants1.7 – 3.0 m³ bucket, Weichai or Cummins power
5 – 8 tQuarries, mines, port bulk handling3.0 – 4.5 m³ bucket, heavy-duty axles and cooling package

Five checks before you place an order

  • Match bucket volume to material density: grain, coal and woodchip need a light-material or high-dumping bucket; rock and wet sand need a standard or rock bucket with bolt-on cutting edge.
  • Check dump height against the truck or hopper you actually load — high-lift arms add 700 – 1,200 mm and are far cheaper fitted at the factory than retrofitted.
  • Choose the engine for your fuel and service reality: Weichai and Yuchai parts are available everywhere, Cummins suits fleets that already run it.
  • Ask for a quick coupler if you plan to add log forks, pallet forks, snow blades or a grapple later.
  • For used units, always request the 126-point inspection report, hour-meter photo, cold-start video and fluid analysis before paying a deposit.

FOB quotation & shipping process

Ordering is the same for every machine we export. Send us the model, configuration and destination port; we return an itemised FOB Qingdao quotation plus a CIF figure within 12 hours. A 30% deposit starts production or reservation, the balance is paid against the inspection report, loading photos and the copy bill of lading. We handle customs declaration, fumigation, lashing, marine insurance and the CE / EPA paperwork required at your port, and ship by container or RoRo from Qingdao, Shanghai and Tianjin every week.
