Motor Grader Buying Guide
Motor graders are specified by blade length, operating weight and drive layout. For unpaved road maintenance, mine haul roads and airfield work, blade control precision and frame rigidity decide finish quality and how few passes are needed. We supply new graders and inspected used units for contractors and government fleets.
How to size a motor grader
| Size class | Typical application | Configuration notes |
|---|---|---|
| 120 – 140 hp | Rural road maintenance, site levelling | 3.0 – 3.7 m blade, mechanical or hydraulic control |
| 160 – 190 hp | Highway subgrade, mine haul roads | 3.7 – 4.0 m blade, articulated frame |
| 200 hp+ | Large earthworks, airports | 4.2 m blade, ripper and scarifier options |
Five checks before you place an order
- Articulated frames cut turning radius and improve finish in confined corridors.
- Order a front dozer blade and rear ripper if you maintain laterite or gravel roads.
- Confirm hydraulic blade lift, side-shift and pitch controls; mechanical controls tire operators quickly.
- Cab air conditioning is not a luxury above 35 °C — operator fatigue shows in the finished grade.
- Check tyre size and availability locally before ordering.
FOB quotation & shipping process
Ordering is the same for every machine we export. Send us the model, configuration and destination port; we return an itemised FOB Qingdao quotation plus a CIF figure within 12 hours. A 30% deposit starts production or reservation, the balance is paid against the inspection report, loading photos and the copy bill of lading. We handle customs declaration, fumigation, lashing, marine insurance and the CE / EPA paperwork required at your port, and ship by container or RoRo from Qingdao, Shanghai and Tianjin every week.
